Billy Burgess expires at 62 in Vets Hospital
Billy M. Burgess, of Owingsville, died at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Lexington, Monday, September 29, at the age of 62. He was an antique dealer in Owingsville, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Owingsville First Church of God.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Burgess, of Owingsville; one step-daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Bailey, of Owingsville; two step-sons, James Horseman, of Winchester; and Dayton Horseman, of Elkton, Maryland; five grand-children, two great-grandchildren, his mother, Beulah Burgess, of Mt. Sterling; three sisters, Autumn Johnson, of Cincinnati; Velma Correll, of Louisville and Maxine Fryman, of Bethel; and one brother, Carlton (Buddy) Burgess, of Mt. Sterling.
Funeral services were held at the Richardson and Hunt Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Wednesday, by Rev. Lowell Rice and Rev. Russell Ingram. Burial was in the Longview Cemetery.
