Gloria Ann Massey, age 54, of Pensacola, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2009, surrounded by family. Gloria was a native of Coeburn, VA, but has been a resident of Pensacola since 1965. Gloria was a loyal and dedicated employee of Waterfront Rescue Mission Bargain Center for twenty years. She attended Bellview Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Christopher Michael Edwards, and her parents, Clifford and Vergie Massey.
She is survived by her daughter, Sherri McCliment; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Ellen Edwards; three grandchildren, Tristan, Hailey and Kyle; father of her children and friend, Dale Edwards; seven sisters, Janice Baker, Doris Harris, Sybil Bradley, Deborah Broxson, Rhonda Perkins, Teresa Smoot and Brenda Pollard; five brothers, Andrew, Paul, Timothy, Denver and Michael Massey; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers will be Dale Edwards, Bobby Bradley, Robbie Bradley, Randy Bradley, Ron Hughes and Corey Evans.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2009 at Faith Chapel Funeral Home South with Reverend Joshua Calaway officiating. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME SOUTH, 100 Beverly Parkway, is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, November 19, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
