Edward was a son of Floyd Cornelius and Elizabeth Brians. He married Sarah Hartley December 10, 1873 in Blount County AL. Apparently after the death of his first wife, he married Sarah E. Unknown (re 1920 census).
Known children of Edward and Sarah are: Isaac Paul, Emma S., John R., Gideon E., and Mary Jane. All of these children came to and died in Texas.
