Aiken - Mrs. Birdie Dillard McKewn, widow of J.C. McKewn of Charleston, died Tuesday in an Aiken Hospital. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dukes-Harley Funeral Chapel in Orangeburg. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Mrs.McKewn was born in Troutman,N.C., a daughter of the late Samuel W. and Maggie Bell Troutman Dillard. She was a member of Asbury Memorial Methodist Church in Charleston. She lived in Charleston before moving to Aiken.

Surviving are: two daughters, Mrs. M.H. Owens of Aiken and Mrs. A.T. Allen of Glen Burnie, Md,; one sister Mrs. Maude Hall of Charleston; one brother, Garland Dillard of Charleston; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
