"Death came suddenly to Ernest Bishop early Sunday morning, March 9, 1969. He was born to Mr. and Mrs. Martin Bishop on Aug 21, 1917 at Hartline. He received his early education in the Hartline School and later moved with his parents to Plummer, Idaho, where he graduated from high school in 1938. He came to St Andrews in the summer of 1938 and farmed in the Coulee City area for a number of years. He was married to Ada Harden in Nov of 1940. They moved to Almira in 1948 where they have made their home since. He drove bus for the Almira School for eleven years.

He also worked as a carpenter with Tony Brown of Creston, and since 1963, has been with the McInroy Meat Company of Wilbur. He is survived by his wife Ada, 4 sons. Preceded in death by one son, Claude, in 1966. He also leaves 3 sisters.
