Robert Wayne Reddell, 46, of Texas City, formerly of Gholson, died Saturday evening, July 23, 1988 in Gholson after a lengthy illness.

Rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. Sunday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West.

Funeral Services for Mr. Reddell were held at 10 a.m. Monday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, with Msgr. Ray Widacki officiating.

Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West.

Mr. Reddell was born June 24, 1942, in Waco. He attended Gholson Elementary and graduated from West High School in 1960. He worked for Doherty Oil Co. before serving two years in the Navy. He had worked 20 years for Union Carbide as a Chemical Process Operator in Texas City. He also owned Free Enterprise Fun Shop in Texas City. He was a Catholic.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Reddell of Texas City; a daughter, Margo Reddell of Texas City; his mother, Elberta Reddell of Gholson; two brothers, Karl Lee Reddell of Gholson and Terry Reddell of Hubbard; and a sister, Diana Wellborn of Iredell.

Pallbearers were Jeff Reddell, Terry Reddell, Jr., Joel Wellborn, Darrell McCartney, John Wallen, Daryl Mason and Tray Wellborn.
