Joseph Kabella, one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of this community, died at his home Thursday at 1 o'clock after an illness of only a few days. He contracted pneumonia and while everything was done that loving hands and skilled physicians could do, he passed to his reward.
Mr. Kabella was 69 years of age. He leaves to mourn his death, Mrs. Joseph Kabella, his wife, Henry of this city, Mrs. P.J. Baron, of Roena, Louis, of Galveston, and E.L. of Mexico City. A message received from the latter shortly after the death of Mr. Kabella, stated that he would be unable to reach West on account of poor train service.
The funeral will be held at the Catholic cemetery Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
The News with their many friends extend sympathy to the bereaved.
