Anne Dvoracek Horton, age 89, of Elm Mott passed away Thursday, July 22, 2004, in a Waco nursing home.

Rosary was at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 24, at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:15 a.m., with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West.

Mrs. Horton was born April 22, 1915, in Hungerford, Texas, to John and Mary Dvoracek.

She lived in West and Waco where she worked at the Waco Army Airfield, then was transferred to Goodfellow Field in San Angelo where she met and married Bomar Horton on Oct. 2, 1948. They were then transferred to Houston, Lubbock and back to the San Angelo area, and moved to Elm Mott in 1976. Her husband preceded her in death on June 18, 1984.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, John, Joe and Louis Dvoracek; five sisters, Irene Whitman, Mary Jansa, Albina Svrcek, Tillie Harrison and Justine Dvoracek.

Mrs. Horton was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption, KJZT Society #11 and Catholic Daughters of America Court #829 of West.

She is survived by five sisters, Christine Dvoracek of Dallas, Agnes Mullins of California, Julia Dlabaj of Mesquite, Betty Payne of Colorado and Tracy Morse of Waco; and several nieces and nephews.
