Deceased Name: Marvin J. Kuntz, Sr. Marvin J. Kuntz, Sr., 74, formerly of Clark's Valley in Dauphin, died Monday, September 16, 2002 in his residence, New Bloomfield, PA.Born October 24, 1927, in Lebanon, PA, to the late Harold R. and Stella M. Kuntz.
Marvin was a devoted family man who retired from PP&L after 40 years of service. He was a member of Clark's Valley Zion Evangelical Congregational Church of Dauphin; the P.P. & L. Live Wire Club; the International Brotherhood of Electrical Worker, Local #1600 and the Perry County Recreational Association. He was a committeeman and was active in the Boy Scout Troop #233 for many years, achieving the Order of the Arrow.
Surviving are his wife, Genevieve E. Kuntz, New Bloomfield, PA; 2 daughters, Elizabeth A. Gamble, New Bloomfield, Stella M. Hosler, Cocoa, FL; 3 sons, Marvin J. Kuntz, Jr., Harrisburg, PA, Harold J. Kuntz, Newport, PA, Andrew J. Kuntz, Duncannon, PA; a sister, Mary Booth, Kissimmee, FL; 2 granddaughters, Wendy Kuntz, Amanda Hosler and 5 grandsons, Dwayne Gamble, Jeffrey, Matthew and Jason Kuntz, and Shaun Kuykendall.
Funeral service will be on Friday, September 20, 2002 at 10: 30 a.m., in the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, Inc., with the Rev. Gary C. Luckenbill and the Rev. Dr. John E. Phillippi officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 19, 2002 from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
