She was a graduate of New Smyrna High School and a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving her country from 1943-1946. She worked as a deputy sheriff in Los Angeles County, CA, for ten years. She returned to Volusia County and Daytona Beach in 1963 and consturcted two commercial buildings, opened a moving company and became an agent for Atlas Van Lines. She served as an instructor at Daytona Beach Community College for five years. She rturned to the building industry by building two additional commercial buildings and leasing them in Holly Hill, FL. She studied locksmithing and opened her own business (Holly Ann Scott Locksmithing) serving East Volusia County for over 16 years. She was a member of the Central Florida Locksmithing Association, and other organizations. Her funeral was held November 12, 2009.
