Robert McDonald Brann, 89, of Village and Deltaville, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He owned and operated Village Seed Service for more than 30 years, and was a member and deacon of Gibeon Baptist Church. Robert is survived by his wife of 69 years, Marguerite Clark Brann; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Allen Harrow of Deltaville; brother and sister-in-law, Ralph R. and Helen Brann of Village; and three granddaughters, Lauren, Lindsay and Leigh Harrow of Deltaville. Robert was preceded in death by his father, W. Taylor Brann; and mother, Lillie Crossley Brann; sisters, Viola Edwards Elsey and Ethel Pruitt Brown; and brothers, Wilmot Taylor and Edward Lee Brann. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Gibeon Baptist Church, with burial following in the Gibeon Baptist Church Cemetery, Village, Va. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday at Gibeon Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gibeon Baptist Church - General Fund, P.O. Box 23, Village, Va. 22570.
