Creasie l. Lewis - LIMESTONE

Mrs. Creasie L. Lewis, age 96, Limestone, passed away Monday, November 16, 2009, at Durham & Hensley Nursing Home.

Mrs. Lewis was a native of Unicoi County and daughter of the late Joe & Daisy Tilson Tipton. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lewis was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lewis, two sons, James "Bud" Lewis and Buster Lewis, one grandchild, one great grandchild, one great-great grandchild and three brothers, Henry Tipton, Frank Tipton and Walter Tipton.

She attended New Hope Church of the Brethren.

Survivors include two daughters, Effie Percell Kyker, Telford and Birdie Briggs, Limestone; and special daughter-in-law, Willadean Lewis Ryon; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted 7:00 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Wes Ford officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm prior to service.

Interment services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Lewis Cemetery in Flag Pond.

Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Durham & Hensley Nursing Home and Caris Hospice.
