Myrtle Maude Casady, the daughter of David and Emiline (Myers) Moore, was born October 20, 1894, in Sullivan County. The 92 year old Queen City resident died Saturday morning, December 20, 1986, in Schuyler County Nursing Home, where she had been a resident for three years.

On September 15, 1915, at Havre, Mont., she was married to Wilda C. Casady, who preceded her in death on January 16, 1951. Also preceding her in death were one son, Dale Casady, January 12, 1980; three brothers, Art Moore, Ace Moore, and George Moore in 1985; three sisters, Bythe Ferris, Laura B. Oyce, and Rachel Moore; one granddaughter, Karen Casady, 1965; and one step-daughter, Urcel Hurley.

Surviving are one daughter, Edith Sparks, Queen City; three sons, Lyle Casady, Missouri Valley, Ia., Lauren Casady, Shannock, R.I. and Lowell Casady of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; three step-daughters, Mrs. Noah (Lema) Richmond, Queen City, Icel Hodges, Kirksville, Mo., and Reva Britt, Mesa, Ariz.; one granddaughter; six grandsons; 13 great-grandchildren; five step-grandsons; two step-granddaughters; and a number of step-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Casady was reared in Sullivan County where she received her education. In 1913 she moved with her parents to Montana. After her marriage, she worked in a general store and post office in Casady, Mont. In 1919 she and her husband moved to the east coast. In 1971, Mrs. Casady moved to Queen City to make her home.

She was a member of the Graysville Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, December 23, 1986, in Dooley Funeral Chapel, Queen City. The Rev. Monte Peterson, Queen City, conducted the services. Music was by Pauline Whitlow singing "Abide With Me" and "In the Garden." She was accompanied by Julia Mollick, organist. Burial was in Rose Cemetery near Graysville.
