Word came early Tuesday that John W Kiser had passed away that morning. Mr Kiser was a multimillionaire born in St Paris 59 years ago. As a young man, he graduated from Wittenburg College in Springfield in 1884, and in the same year married Miss Thriza W Furrow of St Paris. He was the son of Mr and Mrs George E Kiser and was born June 20, 1858. After Mr Kiser became wealthy, he built a beautiful stone mansion on Michigan Avenue in Chicago, IL. For a number of years, his family divided time between the old Furrow homestead and the Chicago home. Three years ago, Mr Kiser erected a beautiful summer home here in St Paris. Mr Kiser's body was brought to St Paris on Wednesday. The remains were placed in the Kiser home where the funeral services were held today. Rev ES Weaver of Springfield, a former St Paris minister and close friend to Mr Kiser, had charge of the service. The body was placed in the Kiser mausoleum at Spring Grove Cemetery burial places of his son, Furrow, and father and mother. He leaves a sister, Miss Belle Kiser of St Paris.
