Deceased Name: ANCHORAGE
Anchorage resident David Joseph Lowe, 54, died Aug. 22, 2003, at home. His family said he died "in his beloved Alaska home, where he and his wife, Susan Nebeker Lowe, raised their five children."

A memorial service will be today in Ogden, Utah, at the Kingston Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Mr. Lowe was born Aug. 22, 1949, in Ogden, to Dr. George H. and Beth Lowe.

He lived and worked as a petrophysicist in Alaska for 22 years.

His family wrote: "David loved the outdoors and shared this love enthusiastically with his family. He also had a great passion for restoring old Land Rovers, World War II vehicles, Power Wagons, engines, generators, etc. As a loving and tender husband, father, son and brother, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends."

Mr. Lowe is survived by his wife, Susan; children and their spouses, Aaron and Angie Moosman Lowe, Rebecca, Creighton, Abigail, and Hillary and Zachary Warner; parents, George and Beth; brothers, George, John, Steve and Bob; and sister, Alta Davis.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the LDS Church Perpetual Education Fund.
