Clyde C. Cale, Sr., 80, Bruceton Mills, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at home, after a long battle with cancer. He was born January 7, 1921, in Hudson, Preston Co., son of the late Charles Clinton Cale and Maggie Dailey Cale Bunion Huff. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific with the 113th Ordnance Company. He retired from Borg-Warner Chemicals in 1985 with 17 years of service, and had also worked at Morgantown Ordnance Works, Hayden Chemical, Olin Mathison, Murphy's Garage and Kingwood Mining Co. He attended schools in Hudson, Hopewell, Bruceton, and Huntington. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruby Naomi Bird Cale, of Bruceton Mills; a son, Clyde Charles Cale, Jr., of Bruceton Mills; two grandchildren, Jason Cale and Camilla McMillen; and two half brothers, Harry Bunion of Minnesota, and Hubert Bunion of Ironton, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Lester Newton Cale, William Gaylord "Gay" Cale, Emmett Eugene Cale, and Everett E. Cale; and four sisters, Lillian Evelyn Brown, Elsa Oletta Brand, Ruby Ethelyn Cale, and Thelma Alice Soucy. Friends may call at Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville, on Wednesday. Service will be Thursday, Nov. 29, with the Rev. Charles E. Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Valley Cemetery. [Unknown Source]
