He was born on February 4, 1928 in Kansas City, to Clement and Kathryn (Glick) Behm.
He grew up and lived in Kansas City until his retirement in 1982 when he moved to Ottawa. He attended schools in Kansas City. He was a baker in several Kansas City bakeries and retired from Tastee Bread in 1982 after 16 years. He served in the United States Army from 1950 to 1952 and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of Bakers' Union, AFL-CIO # 218, National Council of Senior Citizens, and a life member of the National Rifle Association of America.
He is survived by a sister, H. Lucille Stahl, Kansas City, Kan.
