Jessie Mae Metcalf Harrier, 93, of Georgetown died at 5:10 A. M. Wednesday (September 29, 1999) at the Odd Fellow-Rebekah Nursing Home, Mattoon, IL.

Funeral services took place Saturday at Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown.

Mrs. Harrier was born July 23, 1906, in Fairmount, a daughter of James and Gertrude Certain Metcalf. She married Russell Harrier on January 19, 1928, in Paris. He died May 20, 1989.

Survivors include two daughters, Reta Osmond of Hot Springs Village, Ark. and Rose Hawkins of
Rantoul; five granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Esther L. Miller of Westville.

She was preceded in death by a son, a brother and four sisters.

Mrs. Harrier was a homemaker. She was a member of Fairview Methodist Church in Georgetown, where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women's Auxiliary and the Georgetown Fair Association. She was also a Georgetown 4-H leader. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, and crocheting.
