Ananias M. Martin, 78, died on Wednesday at Listowel Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in Woolwich Township, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Absolan Martin and was the last surviving immediate member of that family. He farmed for many years on the fourth concession of Peel.
Surviving are six sons, Elo of RR 2 Wallenstein, Urias of RR 2 Preston, Edmund of RR 3 Listowel. Esmo and Orlan of RR 2 Drayton and Almon of Trenton. There are four daughters surviving, Mrs. Emmerson (Magdelena) Lichty of RR 2 Drayton, Mrs. Jacob (Valina) Bauman and Mrs. Milford (Almeda) Martin of RR 3 Waterloo and Mrs. Ol- iver (Leah) Lichty of RR 2 Wallenstein. There are also 34 grandchildren.
