Alfred was the only child to Mr. and Mrs. Ernest and Margaret (Bonenfant) Demanche of Nashua, NH. He was employed with the Nashua Milling Corp. until he entered military service. After 2 years of service, he married my mother, Rita Gosselin Gault of Nashua. After only one month of marriage, Fred was killed by a drunk driver (Army Lieutenant) while on duty with the 376th Airbourne, 82nd Division stationed at Fort Bragg. He was only 20 years old.
