Patriot newspaper, June 3, 1907:
The funeral of Mrs Anna Hall Colwell was held at three o'clock on Saturday afternoon from her late residence on North Hanover street. The services held at the house, being conducted by Rev. Dr. George Norcross, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church. The honorary pallbearers were Colonel Gibson Hunt, Major Thomas Sharp, Hon. W. F. Sadler, J. Webster Henderson, A. B. Smead, Edward B. Watts, William J. Rose, Capt. John I. Faller and Hon. William E. Miller. The active pallbearers were the following members of the former class of the Sabbath School at the Biddle Memorial Mission, Joseph Lyder, Charles Duey, William Gibb, Charles Edwards, Harry Albert and John Steen. Interment was made in the old graveyard.
