Mrs. C.H. Smith Dies, at age 51
Mrs. Rose Anna Adams Smith, 51, 139 West Twenty-ninth, died Wednesday evening at her home after a lingering illness. She was born 28 December 1888 in Evanston, Wyoming, a daughter of Oliver and Sarah Eardley Adams. Sher spent her early life in Evanston and was married June 21, 1906 to Charles Hudson Smith in Evanston. They moved to San Jose, Calif. where they lived for a year and then came to Ogden.

She is survived by her husband, two sons and a daughter, Charles H., Howard W., and Gloria Smith; two grandchildren, one brother, William C. Adams of Ogden, and a sister, Mrs. Frances Ackley of Salina, Calif.

The body is at Deseret mortuary. Services will be conducted Sunday at two o'clock in the LDS Nineteenth ward by Bishop George H. King. Burial will be in Ogden City cemetery. Friends may call at home Saturday afternoon after one p.m.

Funeral service for Mrs. Rose Anna Adams Smith, wife of Charles Hudson Smith, of 139 West Twenty-ninth, were conducted Sunday afternoon in the LDS Nineteenth ward chapel by Bishop George H. King officiating.

Invocation was offered by Walter J. Blackwell and benediction was pronounced by Alfred W. Marker. Musical numbers were given by William S. Wright, Ruby Anderson, Mary Belle Taylor, Elvira Drainey and Lois Washburn, with Jessie Burton accompanying. The prelude and postlude were played by Marjory Stewart.

Speakers were Dewey V. Harbertson, Bishop James E. Burton, Stanley Drainey and Bishop King. The Relief Society had charge of the flowers. Burial was in the Ogden city cemetery under direction of the Desert mortuary. Howard J. White dedicated the grave.
