Lieutentant T. H. Robbins, USN, was designated Naval Aviator #3426 in 1928. Graduated U.S. Naval Academy, Class of 1920 (graduating in 1919 due to the World War). Commanded the aircraft carrier U.S.S. LEXINGTON (CV-16) during World War II. Retired with the rank of Rear Admiral.

Reportedly a direct descendent of William Bradford, first Governor of Massachusetts and of Thomas Hinckley, first Governor of Connecticut. He was the great-great-grandson of Fisher Ames.

His parents were T. H. Robbins, Sr (Apr. 9, 1877 - Nov. 14, 1954) and the former Miss Alice Ames (Sept. 23, 1873 - Oct. 23, 1951).
