According to http://www.oocities.com/ejhitt/Hayney/d2111.htm, Nancy was the daughter of William and Elisabeth (Bradbury) Haynie. She first married Hamilton Baker in TN on 28 Jul 1836, and the couple had 11 children, of which I have information on the following 10: Susan Elizabeth June (Wilson) (4 Aug 1837 - 28 Dec 1919), Mary (b. abt. 1840), Sarah Laster (Mills) (30 Mar 1842 - 14 Apr 1921), Margaret (14 Jan 1844 - 6 Aug 1862), Christopher Columbus (b. abt. 1846), Thomas J. (b. abt. 1848), James Milton (2 Nov 1851 - 3 Feb 1936), Martha A. (b. abt. 1854), Millard H. (28 May 1856 - 6 Oct 1861), and Victoria V. (Hughes, Dingler) (b. abt. 1859). All but the last were born in TN, but Victoria was born in Missouri.

After Hamilton Baker died, Nancy married Joel Phillips in Greene County, MO on 5 Nov 1866. It appears that the couple divorced in May 1876, and in 1880 Nancy was living on Grant Street in Springfield with her youngest daughter Victoria. By 1900 Nancy was back in rural Center Twp, Greene County, MO with a granddaughter, Nellie Hughes (b. 1887) and a servant.
