Emma was the last child born to Roland and Elizabeth Wolfe. Her mother Elizabeth would have probably had more children, but in November of 1857, the same month that Emma was born, her husband Roland Died at only 62 yrs old. I don't know what day in November Roland died, so I don't know if he got to see his new baby girl Emma. Bonnie Dotson who is Emma's Granddaughter told me that Emma had inherited 2 farms and that when Bonnie's mother Leota was about 6 yrs old her father Hardin decided to move from Virginia to TN, this would have been in about 1898, so they sold the farms and moved to TN. Bonnie said that Emma was a very healthy and active woman before she died. It was not strange for her to just up and walk to town, which she did a lot. Per Bonnie, Emma sewed a lot, she loved going into town and shop for material. When she decided to go shopping she found a way to go even if it was walking all the way to Kingsport by herself. Bonnie said that Emma was only 65 yrs old when she died. She had walked two miles all the way to Kingsport in the snow, it was very cold - and she had been badly chilled by the time she got home. Bonnie was not sure if that is what caused the Pneumonia which Emma died from. Per Bonnie Emma's two youngest daughters Ethel and Georgia was still at home when their mother Emma died.
