of Arkadelphia

ARKADELPHIA -- Paul Lemaster Tallent, 88, of Arkadelphia died May 6, 2003 at Baptist Health Medical Center-Arkadelphia. He was born Nov. 29, 1914 in Pine Bluff, the son of the late Stephen David and Lecia Bledsoe Tallent. He was a retired employee of Reynolds Metals Co., a World War II Air Force veteran and a member of DeGray Baptist Church.

Survivors include: His wife, Cordie Tallent; one son, Rufus Tallent of Nikiski, Alaska; one daughter, Lecia Tallent of Atlanta, Texas; three grandchildren, Katie Cason, Krtrina and Michael Tallent; and two great-granchildren.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in DeGray Cemtery with Oscar Golden officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to DeGray Cemetery Fund.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

ARKADELPHIA - Paul Lemaster Tallent, 88, of Arkadelphia died Tuesday, May 6, 2003, in an Arkadelphia hospital.

Born Nov. 29, 1914, at Pine Bluff to Stephen David and Lecia Bledsoe Tallent, he was retired from Reynolds Metals Co., a U.S. Air Force World War II veteran and member of DeGray Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Cordie Tallent; one son, Rufus Tallent of Nikiski, Alaska; one daughter, Lecia Tallent of Atlanta, Texas; three grandchildren, Katie Cason, Katrina Tallent and Michael Tallent; and two greatgrandchildren.

The service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in DeGray Cemetery with Brother Oscar Golden officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. Memorials may be made to DeGray Cemetery Fund.

Arrangements are by Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
