Indian Campaigns Medal of Honor Recipient. He served in the US Army as a Private in the Indian Scouts unit. He was awarded the CMOH for action in the Arizona Territory during 1872-73. His citation reads "Gallant conduct during the campaign and engagements with Apaches."
