She was the daughter of Michael Nisbet and Clara Cohen Nisbet.
On June 5, 1861 as Amelia Nisbet, she married Daingerfield Parker at the District of Columbia.

Parker. On Wednesday, January 31, 1906 at the Mendota, Amelia, wife of General Daingerfield Parker, United States Army and daughter of the late Michael Nisbet of Philadelphia. Funeral services to which relatives and friends of the family are invited at St. Margaret's Church on Friday, February 2 at 2:30 o'clock PM. Interment private at Arlington Cemetery.
