Rites for Mrs. Ruth Virginia JOY, 85, who died Tuesday night at Sanford Hospital, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday, July 08, in the First Methodist Church.
Rev. James Tidwell, Methodist pastor, and Rev. Edgar Jones, First Baptist Church pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in Ochiltree Cemetery, directed by Boxwell Brothers.
Due to serve as Mrs. JOY's pallbearers are Jerry FERGUSON, Wendell FERGUSON, Erick FERGUSON, Tommy FERGUSON, James Thomas FERGUSON and Don MAIZE.
Mrs. JOY, the widow of Warren JOY, died at 9:00 p.m. at Sanford Hospital. She had been a resident at the Senior Village for 13 months, previously having lived in Stinnett.
She was born February 05, 1881, in Jacksboro, the daughter of Andrew GAFFORD and Leona Jones GAFFORD.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Herman (Ruth) MEADOWS of Perryton, Mrs. Leon (Edith) ROEMBACK of Cheney, Kansas, and Mrs. V. E. (Vivian) WEST of NORMAN, Oklahoma; seven sons, Cleo FERGUSON of Clayton, New Mexico, Ermon FERGUSON of Argonia, Kansas, Frantz FERGUSON and Ira FERGUSON of Stinnett, Nathan FERGUSON of Bell, California, J. T. FERGUSON of Detroit, Michigan, Lester FERGUSON of Delta, Colorado; seventeen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
