Paul F. Kirk, 88, of Locke, N.Y., went to be with Lord Jan. 25, 2005.
He was born July 6, 1916 in the town of Summerhill, the son of the late Fred and Lucy Marquis Kirk.
Paul married Alice Webster in 1939, and together they raised four children.
He was a dairy farmer until he retired in 1981. His love for God, family, and all of God's creations was apparent to all who knew him. He never desired to travel far from his home.
His attention to details could be seen in the way he cared for his animals and his fields. Each year looking forward to plowing the land and never retiring for the evening before first "tucking in" the cows.
Paul was a member of the Dresserville Bible Baptist Church, and is survived by his wife, Alice Kirk of Locke; sons, James P. (Carol) Kirk of Moravia, Karl F. (Phyllis) Kirk of Cortland, John W. (Karen) Kirk of Locke; daughter, Pat (Robert) Brickel of Hudson, Fla.; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Paul was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Lucy Kirk; brothers, Gerald and Philip Kirk; and twin grandbabies, Courtney and Nathan Halladay.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Dresserville Baptist Church. Spring interment will be held in the Atwater Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wright Beard Funeral Home Inc., 9 Lincoln Ave., Cortland.
