Laura V. Martensen (Albrecht) daughter of Fred and Elisabeth Mortensen, was born at Lincoln, Nebr., on Oct. 23, 1904. As a small child she moved with her family to Mason City. She passed away Feb. 2, 1969, at the age of 64 years, three months and 10 days.
She was united in marriage to William F.Albrecht of Amherst, Nebr. On Oct. 23, 1924. To this union six children were born. She and her husband farmed in the Mason City area for about 10 years. They then moved to the Amherst Community, residing there until the last one and one-half years, which she spent at the St. Lukes Home in Kearney.
She leaves to mourn her passing her six children: Ruby Stevens of Oakdale, Calif., Betty Albrecht, Illene Stevens of Kearney, Marvin of Litchfield, Barbara and Lloyd of Kearney, also one sister, Vera Henman and four brothers, Marvin of Dubois, Idaho, F.M. (Pete) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Lloyd of Lincoln, Lester of Scottsbluff and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, who passed away Jan. 2, 1969, her parents and two brothers, Fred Aaron and one in infancy.
She was laid to rest in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
