Clarence Robert Young, Bob, died March 28, 2009, as the result of a heart attack.

Bob was born June 17, 1935 in Council, Idaho to Leta Mae Benson and Clarence Marion Young. Bob married Janet Hacking December 28, 1959 in Rexburg, ID; later divorced. Bob married Penelope Elaine Engstrom, Penny, March 5, 1977 in Elko, NV. Bob is survived by his wife; children, Robert M. Young, and Karen E. Young; and ex-wife, Janet Hacking. Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Francis Marion Young.

Bob worked as an electrical engineer for 39 years at Sperry Univac, which ultimately became L-3 Communications. He was an avid square dancer for approximately 40 years. He was a member of many clubs and organizations during that time and held several leadership positions in those organizations.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. at the Community of Christ church, 2747 East Craig Drive (3640 South), Salt Lake City.
