Sam E. Courtright, 84, 1209 E. Butler, Olney, died Thursday, October 17, in Deaconness Hospital, Evansville, IN.
Mr. Courtright was born March 24, 1900, in Richland County, the son of Anthony and Anabele (Moore) Courtright. He married Grace Byers and she died in August 1956-. He then married Hazel Waxler May 23, 1959, and she survives.
He worked for international Shoe Co. and managed a tourist court in Texas for twenty years, and worked for an ammunition plant in Texas. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Olney.
Other survivors are three step-sons, Dr. Glenn Waxler of East Lansing, MI, Gordon Waxler and Bob Waxler both of Olney; two sisters, Lillie and Gwen Courtright of Danville, seven step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife and three brothers and four sisters.
