Anita Kay Snedeker, 66, died Monday, April 6, 2009 in Loma Linda. She was born Feb. 4, 1943 in Leavenworth, Kansas. Anita has been a resident of Barstow for 54 years, and graduated from Barstow High School in 1960.
She was the Executive Assistant to the President of Barstow Community College for 20 years, and was active with many of the ASB fundraising events, to include the annual Valentine's event, Relay for Life, and Breast Cancer Awareness. She always managed to sell the most tickets to the annual College Foundation barbecue, loved giving out the Dr. Graci Scholarships at Honors Day each year, and always attended the college's graduation ceremonies.
Anita was a member of the 55 Alive Senior Citizen's Club and the Riffian's Girls Night Out Club. She attended the Optimist and Rotary dinner drawings each year, and loved to work the snack bar at the little league games. She was also an avid QVC shopper.
Anita loved her sons, Chuck and Larry very much. She will be greatly missed.

Surviving Anita are her sons, Chuck Snedeker and his wife, Joanie of Barstow, and Larry Snedeker and his wife, Valerie of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers, George Currier and his wife, Jan of Barstow, Mike Currier and his wife, Vicky of Corona, and Jim Currier and his wife, Mary Ann of Overland, Kansas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
