Ladislao (Tanny) Baca, 69, a resident of Barstow for 59 years, passed away June 6, 2009 at St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley. He was born Jan. 8, 1940 in Las Nutrias.
He served 16 years in the National Guard and belong to St. Joseph Catholic Church. He retired from Santa Fe and the Marine Base.
He is survived by his wife, Edwina Baca of Barstow; daughters, Angel Baca of Riverside, Eloisa Madero and her husband, Archie of Riverside, Penny Gray of Barstow, Lisa Baca of Barstow, and Liz Pullen of Washington; sons, Timmie Baca and his wife Roselia of Vernon, Texas, Toby Connolly of Utah, and Nick Connolly of Las Vegas, Nev.; brothers, Florenio, Morris, Raymond, and Congressman Joe Baca; sisters, Maria Napier, and Theresa; 24 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Isabel and Seledon Baca; brother, Abilio; and sister, Annie Sais.
