Born in Cherry Creek, he worked for Laborers Local 210 in Buffalo from 1966 to 2001.
He was a lifetime member of the South Dayton Fire Department and member of Pine Valley Memorial Post 2522. Veterans of Foreign Wars and Sons of the Legion. He loved to play horseshoes and take his grandchildren on long walks in the woods.
Surviving are a son, Timothy A of Fort Wainwright, Ark; two daughters ,Daphne M. Cortright of South Dayton and Jackie Chapman of Hinsdale; his mother Thelma E. of Cherry Creek; four brothers ,Arthur of St. Charles, Mo, Albert of Londonderry ,N.H. and David and Raymond ,both of Cherry Creek; and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11am Friday in Hills Funeral Chapel,478 Balcom Corners ,South Dayton.
