James F. Nelson of Blooming Grove, entered into rest on October 27, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh.

He was born in Brooklyn, NY on July 14, 1919 to James Nelson and Elizabeth Brennan.

James was a retired Police Officer for the NYPD. He was a loving friend and companion.

He is survived by his companion, Jenny Allenberg; son, Andre Allenberg both of Blooming Grove; and grandchildren: Jennifer, Michael, Christopher and Andy Allenberg.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at David T. Ferguson Funeral Home, Washingtonville, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 30, at 10 a.m. at Saint Mary's Church, Washingtonville. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
