Emerson, Mrs. Ruth C., 85, of Inverness, FL, died on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at Citrus Memorial Hospital. Ruth was born on July 6, 1924 in Latrobe, PA to parents, Walter and Alice (Hale) Clarke. She moved to Florida from Kensington, CT. Nineteen years ago, she moved from Ocala and made her home in Inverness . There, she attended the First Church of God. She loved golf and also enjoyed oil painting. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Irving G. Emerson of Inverness; son, Mark C. Emerson of Boston, MA; daughter, Carol Lee Torri of Inverness; sister, Janet Clarke of Latrobe, PA; 3 grandchildren, Kevin and Bryan Emerson and Kristin Wubbel; and 2 great grandchildren, Logan and Willow Emerson.
