He was a lifelong resident of Christian County and a farmer. He was a member of the Eastern Gate Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mabel, two sons, Cecil Lester Workman , Jr , Springfield, and James Dale Workman , Omaha , Neb, one step-daughter, Madelene Ramsey , Ozark, one brother Gene Workman, Ozark, one sister, Lucille Agnes Dye, Ozark, seven grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren.
