Tiffany Gabrielle Nolte Stewart Rhodes, 41, of Madison, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, in Los Angeles, Calif., as the result of a traffic accident.
She was born Sept. 28, 1968, in Louisville, Ky., the daughter of Dennis L. Nolte and Mary G. Payne. She was raised in Greenville and lived in Madison during the summer. She enjoyed reading, animals and riding horses. She was raised Catholic and was a member of St. Mary's of Navilleton in Floyds Knobs. She had lived in California since 1984.
She is survived by one daughter, Alissa Paige Stewart of Versailles; one son James Lyle Rhodes Jr. of Lancaster, Calif.; her mother and step father, Mary G. Payne Everman and Paul Everman of Versailles; her maternal grandmother, Mary Payne of North Vernon; one sister, Lisa Carole Naville of Floyds Knobs; one brother, Michael Troy Nolte of North Carolina; five nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lyle Rhodes Sr.; her father, who died Feb. 16, 2004; her paternal grandparents, Robert J. and Cornelia "Connie" Negley Nolte; and her maternal grandfather, Edward Gerald Payne.
The funeral was at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial was in St. Magdalene Cemetery.
