Obit.—Cynthia Thompson Horton, 81, of Pine Bluff, died January 26, 2002, at Davis Life Care Center.

Born June 18, 1920, at DeWitt, she was a daughter of the late Jim Thompson and Alice Owens Thompson.

She was a homemaker and a former member of Green Meadows Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jacobs; and one grandson.

Survivors include her husband, A. H. “Hess” Horton, whom she married June 20, 1942; one son, Hubert Horton of Pine Bluff; two daughters, Naomi Barlow and Virginia “Virgie” Carter; both of Pine Bluff; one sister, Inez McBroom of DeWitt; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Cranford Funeral Home of White Hall with Billy West officiating. Burial will be in Fitzhugh Cemetery.

The family will be at 5305 Rogers Road, Sulphur Springs.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital, 800 Marshall Street, Little Rock, AR 72205.
