Mrs. Roxie Ethel Atkins, 81, of Route 2, Claremont, Ill.,died Saturday at 4 a.m. at Lawrence County Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 28, 1886, in Pike County , Ind., to Elijah Gladish and Susanna Burkhart Gladish.
Surviving are the husband, Clarence Atkins;a daughter, Mary Mabel Hobbs, Findlay, Ohio; three sons, Marley Atkins, and Kermit Atkins, both of Route 2, Claremont and Wilbur Atkins of Sumner; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the Sivert Funeral Home in Sumner. The Rev. Elijah Heath will officate,and burial will be in Antioch Cemetery west of Sumner.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Sunday.
