Mrs. Mary G. (Finn) Hendershot, aged 92, of Alpine Twp., passed away peacefully Thursday evening, July 30, 1998. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jerome Hendershot; her son, Edward Hendershot; and her great granddaughter, Ashleigh. Mrs. Hendershot was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Church and the Holy Trinity Altar Society and retired as Alpine Township Treasurer in 1977. Surviving are her children, Marybeth and Melvin Impens of Walker, Maureen and Dean Gust of Grand Rapids, Thomas and Jane Hendershot of Grand Rapids, Dennis and Mary Ann Hendershot of Grand Rapids, David and Glenda Hendershot of Sarasota, FL, Shiela Hendershot of Cedar Springs; 26 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; her brother, Gerald Finn of Bradenton, FL; her sisters, Ella Zahm, Louise Dietrich, Irene Albert; her sisters-in-law, Helen Finn, Lucille Bush, Mary Ann Hendershot; her brothers-in-law, Carl Hendershot, Dan Connell; several nieces and nephews; and a very dear cousin, Mary Reagan. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Church. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery. The Rosary will be prayed with Rev. John Thome Sunday evening at 7 PM at the funeral chapel. For those who wish, memorial contributions to either the Glenmary Missionaries or Hospice of Greater Grand Rapids would be appreciated. Mrs. Hendershot reposes at the funeral chapel where relatives and friends may meet her family Saturday from 7 to 9 PM and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and Monday at Holy Trinity Church from 10 AM until time of the Funeral Mass.
