Dolly is the daughter of Chester Howland & Sarah Whitmore. She married Henry Gridley on 16 Mar 1840; he died of pleurisy on 27 Jan 1850. Widowed, she married D. Dwight Whitmore on 4 July 1854 at Southampton, MA. She died of "contraction of liver & apoplexy." (Birth, Marriage & Death records)
