Leda Curtis Larsen was born Friday, October 4, 1912 in Aurora, Utah to Lero Curtis and Hazel Kennedy and was the second of eight children.

She learned to be a hard worker at a very young age on her father's farm. She joined her eternal companion, Grant F. Larsen, who was waiting for her on the other side of the veil. They were sealed together in marriage for time and all eternity on her birthday in 1934.

She had lived in the home he built for her for seventy years. Together, they raised six children, teaching them the rewards of hard work, perseverance, and frugality.

She instilled in them a great love of the Lord by her righteous example. She was beloved for her dedicated service in the Church and for her love of family history work.

She served as a visiting teacher for over fifty years with nearly a perfect record of her monthly visits made. She got great joy in life by preparing wonderful meals for her family and was widely known for her scrumptious desserts and candies.

Leda passed away peacefully of causes incident to age on Thursday, November 5, 2009 at her home. She resided at 646 West 200 North in Provo, Utah at the time of her death.

She was survived by her children: Roger and wife Shirley, Norma and husband Reid Williamson, Dennis, Keith and wife Jeanne, Randy and wife Barbara; daughter Barbara Humphries preceding her in death; twenty-four grandchildren; seventy-six great-grandchildren; and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. She was also survived by brother Max Curtis and sister Rena Corbridge.

A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the North Park Second Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 1066 West 200 North in Provo. A viewing was held on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Berg Mortuary of Provo located at 185 East Center Street in Provo, and one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the Church.
Following the conclusion of the Funeral Services, the funeral procession commenced and solemnly and slowly proceeded through the streets of Provo and concluded in the Provo City Cemetery located at 610 South State Street (900 East) in Provo, where Leda was laid to rest beside her husband.
