IN MEMORIAM.

Smith--On Sunday September 18, 1910, S. O. Smith died at his home two miles north of High Hill, aged 63 years. Interment Tuesday, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, where funeral service was conducted by Rev. McQuie. He leaves a loving wife, one son Stevie, about ten years old, two brothers, Wm. W. and John P. Smith, and one sister, Mrs. Wm. Sisk, and many good friends.
He was a faithful member of the Baptist church for many years, and lived an exemplary life.

Our hearts were saddened when the message came over the wire telling of the death of Mr. Oat Smith, who died Sunday night at eight o'clock. He leaves a wife and one child. Mr. Smith had been afflicted for some time. The family and relatives have our sympathy in this sad hour.

DEATH OF S. O. SMITH

Mr. Samuel O. Smith, a highly esteemed citizen of this county, died at his home, 5 miles southeast of High Hill, last Sunday afternoon, Sept. 18, 1910, after a lingering illness.
He was 63 years, 3 months and 29 days, and leaves wife and one son, besides two brothers and two sisters-- W. W. of Wellsville, John P. of High Hill, Mrs. W. Y. Sisk of this city and Mrs. Samuel Craighead of Callaway county.
The deceased was an excellent Christian man, a loving husband and a devoted father. He was a member of the Jonesburg Baptist church.
His funeral, in accordance with his request, was preached by Rev. R. E. McQuie at noon Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Mt. Pleasant church, in the presence of a large number of relatives, friends and neighbors, after which his remains were laid to rest in the Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
