Himan Adam Gentzler was born on July 28, 1877, to the proud parents John and Margaret Ketterman. Himan was the 6th child born to the couple. His siblings include Dillie, William, John, Allice, Annie, Maggie, Jesse, George, Bayard, Chauncey Gentzler (twin brother to Bayard). He also had a halfsister Perdita.
Himan met and married Rannie J. Ramble. They had a son together, Lawrence Gentzler. Sadly, Fannie died on December 10, 1902. Leaving behind her husband and their son Lawrence who was only 1 year, 9 months, and 24 days old.
Himan met and married his 2nd wife Cora Lau. They had 4 children together, Lizzie, Pauline, Melvin, and Lester Eugene Gentzler.
Sadly, Himan died on October 18, 1911. He died of Typhoid fever. He was only 34 years, 2 months, and 20 days old. He was buried on October 21, 1911.
