ESTIMABLE LADY IS DEAD

Mrs. Elizabeth Hilligoss Passed Away at Six O'clock This Morning

Mrs. Elizabeth Hilligoss died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lauren Hilligoss, this morning at six o'clock. She was seventy-two years and eight months of age.

Five daughters and one half-sister [step-daughter] survive the deceased. The daughters are Mrs. [Daisy Butler] Lauren Hilligoss and Mrs. [Johanna] O. D. Alsman of this city, Mrs. James Rhoda Inlow of Homer, Mrs. Jerome Mahan of Newcastle, and Mrs. James Moore of Kenneth. The half-sister [step-daughter] is Mrs. Bert Mull [Winnifred May Hilligoss] of Rushville.

The funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lauren Hilligoss, 40 East Mechanic Street, at nine o'clock Thursday morning. The interment will take place in the family lot in the Hurst cemetery in Rush county. Edwards & Hageman are in charge of the funeral arrangements.

The funeral of Mrs. Elizabeth Hilligoss, who died Tuesday, was held this morning at nine o'clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs.[Daisy Butler] Lauren Hilligoss.

Last evening's Rushville Republican in an article dealing with the death of Mrs. Hilligoss said: Mrs. Hilligoss was the widow of Sex Hilligoss [Horatio Gates Lafayette Sexton Hilligoss] and lived for years on the corner of Perkins and Eight streets, this city. Her husband was the first mayor of Rushville and in his early days was prominent in city and county politics. Mr. Hilligoss dropped dead from heart failure about two years ago. A number of Rush county people will attend the funeral.
