HARTLEY - Carmen Hall, 74, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, in Amarillo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Hartley Fellowship Church. Burial will be in Hartley Cemetery by Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart.

Carmen Herrera-Hall was born March 21, 1935, in Santa Maria del Oro, Durango, Mexico, one of 10 children born to Usebio and Herlinda Barraza. As a girl, Carmen played in the mountains of Parral, Mexico. She later moved to Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, where she received a degree in business in 1953 from the Business Institute. She married Raymond W. Hall of Dalhart in 1964.

The family lived for a short time in Dalhart prior to moving to Hartley in 1970. Carmen worked for Hartley Schools until her retirement in 1999. Carmen remained in Hartley until the spring of 2009 when she moved to Amarillo to be near her family.

Survivors include three daughters, Bertha Allen of Dumas, Christina Vincent of Amarillo and Carmelita Gage of Bryan; three granddaughters, Alexis Allen of Dumas, Tiffiny Vincent of College Station and Grace Gage of Bryan; a grandson, John Gage of Savannah, Ga.; and a brother, Ancelmo of Juarez, Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond W. Hall; four brothers; and four sisters.
