Funeral services for Gary Lee Butcher, 60, of Fort Gibson, OK, will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2009 at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Barbie Jared officiating. Pallbearers are Butch Coward, Jeff McDaniel, Bronson Butcher, Cody Weiss, Andy Ray and Frank Stewart. Honorary pallbearers are Rick Boyd, Mike Dickerson, David Dickerson, Steve Schmick and Walter "Ski" Stolarski. Burial will be in Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Gary Lee Butcher was born June 28, 1949 in Muskogee, OK, the son of Willard and Dora Lee (Sherrill) Butcher and died November 10, 2009 in Muskogee. He was a lifelong Muskogee resident, attending Tony Goetz, AR and Muskogee Central High Schools. On July 2, 1991 he married Susie Heslar in Eureka Springs, AR. He was a SGT in the U.S. Air Force. Gary was a retired Veterans Medical Center Physical Therapist Assistant. He was an avid golfer and bowler. Survivors include his wife Susie of the home; two step sons, Bryan Crowder and wife Tina of Fort Gibson, Scott Crowder and wife Krystal of Porum; four grandchildren, Chase Crowder of Fort Gibson, Kamryn and Kaden Pilkerton of Porum, Ashlyn Crowder of Porum; one brother, Larry Butcher and wife Valerie of Muskogee and one nephew, Bronson Butcher of Muskogee. A host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved tea-cup poodle, Danni.
